The cover depicts a barefoot middle-aged gay man holding a paintbrush with a bucket. He's standing tall in front of a half painted over canvas eliminating words like ''unclean," "slut" and "liar." The man is Mark S. King, an AIDS advocate, an author and a blogger living with HIV since 1985. His hard-hitting essay, "The Sound of Stigma," explores why HIV stigma among gay men persists. At 2.5K Facebook likes and 160 comments, this essay struck a serious nerve with our readers. King takes all gay men to task for fueling the viral divide between HIV positive and negative.
