It was a lovely evening and they decided to take a romantic sunset walk on the beach from Newton by the Sea to Embleton. With their eyes on the sandy bay overlooked by ancient Dunstanburgh castle, Blackie, the spaniel just had one thing on his mind. And he leapt in the air in excited anticipation that his owner would throw his ball along the sand. Boing, boing, boing, I watched as he pogoed all the way as his master strolled along. It was a little sad to realise they ignored him because they had forgotten his ball; left it at home in the cottage.

It's nice to see how the two young sisters like each other. They often lie together and groom each other's fur.

Pogo is totally crazy about the red packaging of the Suchard Rochers lait chocolates. Only these. Unfortunately, they are not available in this country and Pogo has to wait for supplies from france.

Pogo lives up to her name. She is a wild girl who jumps in everywhere without hesitation and goes all out. Cartboard box jumping is her favourite sport.

The Polaroid Pogo was Emma's xmas gift last year. But we were never able to get it to work with her Verizon phone, even though Polaroid states that it was complatible. Well, we finally got around to buying a bluetooth dongle for the laptop and voila......prints from the Pogo. So awesome.

BTW....sfgirlbybay gave me some loving on her blog today. Go check it out.

I decided to take Pogo to his favorite place today....THE BEACH! Although he wasn't allowed to get on the surf boards, he managed to find a way to knock them all down.

In another two weeks, I will be in Louisiana, in the swamps, working on another landscape project. I will be on trails and in wooden boats, with hounds and with shotguns, in the mists of the morning and the steam of the evening. I'm traveling alone again, as usual, and after four months of intense work am looking forward to hanging with Nature a bit.

PogoLand refers to cartoon character Pogo, who lived in the Okeefenokee Swamp as I picture here.

Feathers are a welcome gift.

The two sisters are now grown up and still like each other, even if they cuddle together much less often

She'll do anything for a snowball!

It started with baskets, then carrier bags, handbags and now plastic bags. Pogo loves everything where she can sit down and be carried around. She also spontaneously jumps into an empty basket while you are carrying it, and then she always wants to be carried around in it. This cat should be in the circus....

5 months old. She is a wild energy package.

Pica (in the background) is more difficult to photograph than her sister. Usually Pogo steals the show. Not this time, i deliberately leave Pogo a little out of focus.
