Rest for the Wicked

The Shooting Gallery is pleased to present Rest for the Wicked, a solo exhibition by San Francisco-based artist, Ferris Plock. This new collection embodies the artist's trademark character-based works along with a Ukiyo-e inspired sensibility. The exhibit is the artist's debut show with The Shooting Gallery and will be comprised of 15-20 small to medium pieces composed of a variety of media such as acrylic, gouache, gold leaf, and spray paint on wood panel. The opening reception for Rest For The Wicked will be held at The Shooting Gallery on Saturday, August 14th, 2010 from 7-11pm. The exhibit will be on display through September 4th, 2010 and is free and open to the public.

Hoy sábado a las 18.30 en directo por Esport3 y EHFtv, el Barça de balonmano tiene el reto de visitar la pista del Wisla Plock, equipo entrenado por quien fue técnico del FC Barcelona de balonmano Manolo Cadenas. Los azulgranas buscan un triunfo que les sitúe con 15 puntos y buscar el liderato final del Grupo B de la VELUX EHF Champions League

Xavi Pascual podrá disponer de los 16 jugadores del primer equipo para el partido de Plock. Recuperado Víctor Tomás de las molestias en el hombro izquierdo y Dani Sarmiento, de las molestias en el codo derecho, el entrenador del Barça de balonmano dispone de todos sus hombres.
Jugar a Plock no trabajo fácil. Con la el espíritu de lucha que caracteriza a los equipos entrenados por Manolo Cadenas, los locales cayeron por un gol en casa ante KIF Kolding y empataron en la pista danesa, hechos que demuestran el potencial de los polacos.
El balonmano azulgrana podría ser matemáticamente primero de grupo después de esta jornada. Un triunfo azulgrana sumado a una derrota, difícil y poco probable sobre el papel de Kolding en casa ante Besiktas, daría el primer puesto a los azulgranas.
Huella azulgrana
Wisla Plock disputa la supremacía del balonmano polaco en Kielce y está asentado dentro de los equipos que habitualmente juegan la VELUX EHF Champions League.
Es un equipo con huella azulgrana donde su entrenador es el ya mencionado Manolo Cadenas, tienen un jugador con pasado azulgrana como el lateral Ángel Montoro y tienen cedido al portero del FC Barcelona Rodrigo Corrales, producto del balonmano formativo azulgrana.
Actualmente ocupan la cuarta posición del Grupo B con 7 puntos y tienen prácticamente garantizado su pase a octavos de final. Hay que recordar que en el partido en Barcelona, Cadenas y sus hombres hicieron sudar al Barça de balonmano, que obtuvo un triunfo por 30 a 25.
