Just underway from its Lakeville origination is Progressive Rail's Northfield Turn. Lead unit #40 was originally built for the Minneapolis Northfield & Southern in 1968. Trailing unit SD38-2 #42 also has Minnesota ties as it was built for Reserve Mining Company to haul taconite ore in the northeastern part of the state.
The 34 coming back from Nesbitt yard where they interchange with the CP. I know its train horn is a classic, but it's the worst I've ever heard.
Wisconsin Northern job L1 makes their way north with about 60 sand empties. Third out is PGR 40, which has since been sent back to Minnesota.
Running light on the PGR line between Rosemount and Eagan, where there's an industrial park with enough traffic to warrant service Monday through Friday.
These guys run early enough to railfan on my way into work, assuming I take the scenic route.
Got a huge W on my first day of a 3 day road trip with Progressive Rail's Wisconsin Northern Line operating their L2 road train back south from Cameron to Chippewa Falls, WI.
Here the attractive pair of SD45 rebuilds lead the last WN painted unit on the line, GP15 1501, as they find some peak fall color nearing New Auburn. Just north of town, they will work Piranha sand and pick up 47 loads before continuing.

Switching at Stella-Jones lumber yard in Cameron WI at the North end of the Wisconsin Northern line.
Drove by here on the way to Red Wing for a picnic and didn't have my camera but had to shoot it so i used my phone,
New Progressive Rail Power! The latest locomotive to get PGR colors, sits outside of BNSF's Northtown Diesel Shops. I can't wait to see this locomotive working along PGR rails. The GP15 looks fantastic in the MN&S inspired colors.

During a small chase of the PGR from lakeville it led us to this spot at 265th street just northwest of castle rock past some fall colors in their peak
