If you have things like oily skin, missed periods or weight loss problems, you may think that these problems are just a normal part of your life. But these desertions may actually be signs that you have polycystic ovarian syndrome (or ovaries), also known as PCOS. Most women at one time have to fight weight gain. But for women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), weight loss can become a constant struggle. PCOS is the most common hormonal disease in women of childbearing age and can lead to fertility problems. Women who have PCOS have higher levels of male hormones and are less insulin-sensitive or "insulin-resistant". Many of them are overweight or obese. As a result, these women may be at higher risk of diabetes, heart disease.
