Usually conductors with space scenery backgrounds remind me of Origin Systems Inc.'s opening logo animation.
As an aside while looking up what Origin's alumni were doing I've found out that Paul Steed, better known as id Software's modeller but whose work I first noticed in Strike Commander has passed away in August. Render in peace Steed. Some bit of good news though is that Chris Roberts will announce possibly a space-based game in the coming weeks.
Update: It's 10/10 so here it is, Star Citizen - a Wing Commander / Freelancer online with offline play. Looks like Steed lives on as a Bengal-class carrier:

Night City was established at the West Coast head of Del Coronado Bay in 1994 by Richard Night. The Pearl of California was originally known as Coronado City, befor its renamed in 1998.
Today Night City is divided into 8 different main sectors, each is most in controll by a different gang or corporation.
Nevertheless Night City is a democratic mayoralty with a corporate-controlled city council. The Mayor of Night City oversees the Treasurer's Office, the deputies to the mayor, and directs the heads of the city's departments, including the NCPD.

The first scene opens up with Clementine; Omid; and Crista, carefully approaching what appears to be an empty rest stop. Considering the bump on Crista's belly, one can surmise that the game had to have jumped a number of months after the events of Episode Five of Season One. Possibly six or eight months later? I don't know, I'm not an Obstetrician.....
The events following their moment of recess had eventually tossed me into that state of glum with Telltale's use of shock value. I don't want to give too much away to those that don't wish for any spoilers, so I'll stop there.
The people at Telltale utilize an effective formula that allows the player to empathize and to sympathize with many of the characters of their series. Clementine (as depicted above, getting ready to smash a zombie's head in with a tree branch) is still a timid character, but over the last season, avid fans of the series had watched her grow into an individual that must learn how to survive in a world overrun with zombies and raiders. Although she had not reached the pinnacle of a hardened character, she had taken quite a leap since episode one of the first season.
Does Clementine have what it takes to become the lead character? Maybe; maybe not. With Lee out of the picture, it'll certainly be interesting to see how season two will unfold.
