Rue de Verneuil
Rue de Verneuil is a street in the 7ème arrondissement in the quartier Saint-Thomas-d'Aquin, it has a length of 486 meters and a width of 10 meters. It starts at rue des Saints-Pères and ends at rue de Poitiers. A remarkable spot is the Maison de Serge Gainsbourg at number 5. At number 53 Hôtel d'Avejan, where the Centre national du livre is located. Another remarkable address is at number 62 where Jean Bousquet, the founder of Cacharel has lived.

Nothing is as changeable as the wall in front of the house where Serge Gainsbourg lived. Space invader PA_801 has disappeared a few times but is always reactivated by the fanatical space invader fans. In 2009 this was space invader number 2147 in the world.

This space invader on this particular location has everything to do with the French culture. Located on the wall of the house of Serge Gainsbourg. It's the third version. The 2009 original has been deleted a few days after installation, the second one has been re-activated by Invader himself in 2011 and was removed in the same year. This one is the work of the R-Team Paris and made in 2016. The decor is the always chaning graffiti and street art wall in the 7ème arrondissement of Paris, the house of Gainsbourg is in Rue de Verneuil which is not a secret at all.

Discovered on 06/04/2009 on a wall full of grafitti and street art. I saw this wall for a distance and I entered the street to see if there was probably a Mesnager or other interesting street art on this wall. And I found this space invader here. With sunglasses!

Le mur de la maison de Gainsbourg était entièrement recouvert de graffitis. Il y eut même un Space Invader ( PA_801 ) .
Cet été 2013, le mur a été entièrement nettoyé pour laisser la place à un portrait "officiel" (???) par Anthony Lemer.. Le fond blanc ne restera pas longtemps blanc ...
