The Law Courts of Brussels or Brussels Palace of Justice (French: Palais de Justice, Dutch: About this sound Justitiepaleis (help·info)) is the most important Court building in Belgium, and is a notable landmark of Brussels. It was built between 1866 and 1883 in the eclectic style by architect Joseph Poelaert. The total cost of the construction, land and furnishings was somewhere in the region of 45 million Belgian francs. It is the largest building constructed in the 19th century... Here I am. Back again. Day 1. I decided to give this another shot, simply because I'm taking pictures anyway... this will hopefully get me posting on a more regular basis.
What will you see from me this year? Laziness. I want to take pictures, but I'm not willing to give up my precious personal time with Q. You will see a lot of Quentin. I'm sure there will be a lot of days where I don't know what to shoot... Quentin is my back-up shot everyday. (And what a back-up shot it is...) You might see me... I'm not that comfortable with myself right now. Can't wait to do this again...

Según documentos históricos antiguos, en la costa de Pals había un importante puerto marítimo con movimientos de barcos, trasiego comercial de ventas y lugar de parada de embarcaciones, con una barra riquísima y valorada según los testimonios de pescadores que vivían del año 1607, como la mejor barra de sardinales de toda la costa catalana. Algunos historiadores defienden que Cristóbal Colón no salió de Palos de la Frontera como dice la historia oficial, sino del puerto de Pals de Cataluña. Dicho puerto desapareció por el desvío del río Ter.

Ma poi la Southwest Windpower ha voluto commercializzare un proprio sistema in rete, il Skystream, non ancora omologato per l'Europa, e non ha più fornito il generatore ai tedeschi della Solar Wind Team. Per fortuna ora c'è un successore, forte dell'esperienza, il Lakota.

Local WW1 Historian and authority on the Chorley Pals, John Garwood, pointed out that the men actually went over the top with their rifles “at the port”. The original design shows rifle and bayonet in the advance position whereas “at the port” means across the chest. The Pals were told to walk across No Man’s Land as they would not meet any resistance from the Germans who would have been overwhelmed by the artillery bombardment that lasted virtually for the whole of June 1916.
The sculptor Peter Hodgkinson agreed with Trustees that there should be some dynamic to the statue and it will be on a base resembling sandbags at the top of a trench parapet.
Le 15 novembre 1920, une foule genevoise enthousiaste accueillit les délégués de la Première Assemblée de la Société des Nations. Une cérémonie au pied de la statue de Jean-Jacques Rousseau rappella que le choix de Genève comme siège de la première organisation internationale politique de l’histoire n’était pas anodin et en réfèrait à ce fameux « esprit de Genève », que les premières années d’existence de la SdN devaient exalter.
Dissoute lors d’une dernière Assemblée tenue à Genève en avril 1946, la Société des Nations transmit à l’ONU l’ensemble de ses biens et de ses avoirs, dont le Palais des Nations est l’un des fleurons. Si le siège de la nouvelle Organisation fut implanté à New York, on créa à Genève, dans le Palais, l’Office européen des Nations Unies, devenu l’Office des Nations Unies à Genève en 1966. Il constitue un centre mondial de conférences diplomatiques et une base opérationnelle pour un grand nombre d’activités dans les domaines économique et social, continuant de faire vivre à Genève cet « esprit » qui avait poussé les hommes de 1920 à choisir la ville comme lieu de rencontre pour les nations.

Il Palio di Feltre o Palio dei Quindici Ducati è una manifestazione storica veneta di origine quattrocentesca che ricorda l'entrata della città di Feltre nella Repubblica di Venezia. La rievocazione richiama la tradizione medievale, in cui fu istituito un palio inizialmente per festeggiare l’arrivo dei Visconti di Milano come signori della città nel 1388, al posto degli odiati Da Carrara, poi per la dedizione alla Repubblica Serenissima di Venezia avvenuta il 15 giugno del 1404
On Tuesday, April 4th, DPS and the Penn Ice Rink/Class of 1923 Area (part of Penn's Division of Business Services) hosted over 200 area youth for an afternoon of skating and pizza. Volunteers from St. Joe's Prep and Penn Ice Hockey clubs helped the kids to learn new skills and have a great time out on the ice.
