As mentioned, we were a touch early for the full bloom of flowers, but there were a few patches of lavender out for us.

The moment we pulled into the carpark and got our first look at our hotel for the third night, I knew we had to make a Shining style short movie. I will get it up on Youtube soon.

High up on Shiretoko Pass, miles from everywhere and anywhere, and what happens...we notice that the tank is empty.

We rolled downhill for 20km, and using the gas pedel once!

Luckily, we found somewhere to fill it up before the fumes ran out! Fun!!
