Part of one of the nine cylinder head covers with mounting nuts of the engine of the "Cap San Diego". The "Cap San Diego" is a still seaworthy museum ship (built in 1961) and is moored at the Overseas Bridge (in German: "Überseebrücke") at the Port of Hamburg.

Arkadia (Polish pronunciation: [arˈkadja]) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Nieborów, within Łowicz County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. It lies approximately 6 km east of Łowicz and 50 km north-east of the regional capital Łódź.
The village has an approximate population of 250. Arkadia is famous for its English Garden Park set up by Helena Radziwiłł in 1779 with the designers Szymon Bogumil Zug and Henryk Ittar.
In the 70s of the 18th century a new style in gardening called English style appeared in Poland. It originated at the beginning of the century in England and then was gradually spreading across the other European countries. The English style definitely opposed artificiality and regularity of baroque gardens. It promoted unrestricted and emotional compositions of sentimental or symbolic forms and architectural constructions referring to ancient and medieval works of arts as well as to the everyday life in the country, often also to the overseas exotic forms. The style had been transformed together with philosophic, ideological and esthetical changes of the epoch from sentimental forms to the vision of romantic garden.
Each year on December-January, markets have fresh lychees from Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. one of our French overseas Department and Region. These are probably the last arrival in Parisian area.

Enjoying some very warm summer days here in the north. Yesterday we had more than 31.5° C (that’s 89° F for you guys overseas), so I was just hanging out on my yacht enjoying the sun.

Our last day in Bangkok today as we are off on our travels tomorrow. Staying tropical for our first year away from home but going overseas for a very different kind of Christmas. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for 2019!
The first block of GEVOs for Pakistan passed through Harrisburg on their way overseas. Built in Erie, PA the No. 9000-series GEU-40's were on their way to Norfolk, VA where the locomotives (and their six-axle trucks which followed on separate flats) would be loaded on a ship. Hopefully the next batch shows up in sunlight.
The Overseas Railroad in the Florida Keys stretched more than 100 miles and was completed in 1912. The Over Sea Railroad was destroyed in the 1935 hurricane and was replaced by a highway for automobiles.

Autrefois cité de corsaires, Saint-Malo est une commune française située en Bretagne, dans le département d'Ille-et-Vilaine, et le principal port de la côte nord de Bretagne.
Au deuxième plan, l’île du Petit Bé et son fort se situent à quelques centaines de mètres des remparts de Saint-Malo et à quelques dizaines de mètres du Grand Bé.
Le fort a été construit au xviie siècle. Il faisait partie d'une ceinture défensive conçue par Vauban et destinée à protéger la ville de Saint-Malo d'attaques des escadres ennemies anglaises ou hollandaises.
Saint-Malo is a historic French port commune in Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany.
The walled city on the English Channel coast has a long history of piracy, earning much wealth from local extortion and overseas adventures.
In the background, the island of Petit Bé and its fort are located a few hundred meters from the ramparts of Saint-Malo and a few tens of meters from Grand Bé.
The fort was built in the 17th century. It was part of a defensive ring designed by Vauban and intended to protect the city of Saint-Malo from attacks by English or Dutch enemy squadrons.

We went to CANADA in September 2016. This next set of images is from Ottawa, just a one of the few of the places that we visited. It is a fantastic place to visit. This batch of 5 is the second of the current postings.
Fort-de-France is a commune and the capital of Martinique, an overseas department of France located in the Caribbean. It is also one of the major cities in the Caribbean.
We brought our overseas based friend to Tagaytay Highlands. After taking our snacks, these birds were unmindful of our presence and helped themselves with out left overs.

Canadian Geese in front of us at Ynys, we were sitting on one of the benches having lunch and they were straight ahead of us.
After waiting for SCT’s 3PM9 to clear the block, empty Aurizon Iron Ore service 6911S from Whyalla to Wirrida gains momentum through the popular photography spot of Yorkey’s Crossing with GWU012/GWA007 up front and GWA004/GWU014 at the rear on Thursday the 10th of November 2022.
These Iron Ore trains usually run 3 times a week to the Balloon loop at Wirrida before returning to Whyalla to export the loading overseas. The length and weight of the train as well as the network infrastructure arrangements require it to run with Distributed Power Units (DPU) to assist the train up gradients and to prevent running the locomotives around at Spencer Jct after each trip both ways. DPU running in South Australia isn’t very common and remains exclusive to this train, however it can be seen daily on the Coal networks in the Eastern states.

Ballots have not been sent out to all of the New York State members of the United States Military overseas. That's over 340,000 votes. In 2008 our military votes didn't count. It looks like the Democrat majority in the House and Senate will hold true and not allow our members of the military overseas to vote. They could quite possibly be the votes to decide important races. Call your congressman and Senators to see if your state has sent out their ballots.

My favorite "sunrise in paradise" location on Key West. These palms are featured on Jimmy Buffett's A1A album, and the back cover is about 50 yards north of here. While he lived here this was a favorite spot of his and he wrote a few songs here. Have been attempting to get the best shot of these palms for many years. I'M STILL TRYING!

Saint Augustine is the historic headquarters city of the Florida East Coast Railway dating from 1885 when Henry Flagler established his offices in the city, some 10 years before the FEC name came into existence. The road built three office towers in the 1920s that served as the railroad's headquarters until 2006 when they were donated to Flagler College and the railroad relocated its leadership and administration to Jacksonville. Two cast relief concrete logos still proudly adorn the two covered corridors that connect the three buildings fronting on lovely outdoor courtyards. They feature the 'overseas' logo that shows a train steaming out over Long Key Viaduct on the line's remarkable Key West Extension which was only in service from 1912 to 1935. Florida East Coast Railway - General Office Buildings. Henry M. Flagler built the Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) to link his resort empire and establish the east coast of Florida as 'The American Riviera.' Flagler, partner with John D. Rockefeller in Standard Oil, developed the Atlantic shoreline with a chain of luxury hotels from Jacksonville to Key West. Perhaps Flagler's greatest achievement was the construction of the Key West Extension finished shortly before his death in 1913. By 1916, the FEC Railway included 23 railroads, terminals, and bridge companies along 739 miles of track. Steamships linked the railroad at Miami to Nassau, Bahamas, and at Key West to Havana, Cuba. The Florida East Coast Hotel Company owned 14 resorts joined by the rail lines. In St. Augustine, Flagler's 1888 railway station west of downtown was replaced by three office towers built starting from south to north in 1922, 1923 and 1926. They served as the Railway's headquarters until 2006, when the FEC provided a $7.2 million gift-in-equity, making possible the transfer of the property to Flagler College. The College is committed to preservation of the buildings and adapting them for College uses.

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of Spain's Iberian Peninsula. The main focal point is the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426 meter high limestone ridge that shoots straight up into the sky from the sea! This limestone mountain has a nature reserve with wild monkeys along with batteries, fortifications, and tunnels. Spain is just on the other side of the Rock of Gibraltar.
