Here's a look down from the Kalalau overlook trail on the island of Kauai. Taken just before all hell broke loose and the island was battered by severe a tidal surge.

Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my photos, and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! Have a great evening everybody!! :)

A very last view of Massachusetts over the airplane's window as we just took off from Boston.

Have a fun-filled weekend, everyone...

Wahweap Overlook and Wahweap Marina near Page, Arizona. Very windy spring day.

The Nomade, a statue from Jaume Plensa, in Antibes - French Riviera

A relaxing place to watch the world go by, day or night… There is a little spring air already in February, and I am delighted to be on vacation…

The Nomade body is formed by letters and he is directed towards the sea, which it suggests the openness, the tolerance towards other languages, therefore other cultures…

Have a wonderful time dear friends… ❤️¸.•*´¨☆¸.˳♪⁎˚♫

So while board we decided to go where board people go, Boise! No, this is not in Boise, but on the way back we went through the Columbia River Gorge. Because we were approaching the site form a direction we have never seen, it took us to this overlook that I never knew existed. Its out past The Dalles. The road is what caught our attention first. While you are on the road you don't quite notice its eccentricities, but from the top its quite... whimsical. I tried to capture that, and the view, and the family car there on the bluff (yes, its small). While processing the panorama I felt it kept getting better and better so I thought it was worth a post on this site (I have a family site that gets my b-stock images).

This is an 8 image LE pano taken from Fajada Butte Overlook in New Mexico. I had to create this LE effect in photoshop because WAYNE ran over my camera bag with his jeep and shattered my 10 stop ND filter. Jeez, you just can't trust some people. Hehe (Sorry Wayne!!!) :)

I have to speak in Wayne's defense though, he was busy operating the crane to unload Chris's massive tripod, you should have seen Chris carrying that behemoth across the desert cradling it in his arms as if it was a wounded child, kinda reminded me of the ending of the movie "True Grit". Man that's determination. After watching him try to find a comfortable position to carry it I mistakingly offered to carry it for him the last 1/2 mile and within 50 ft immediately regretted it. :)

Mt Jefferson as seen from Timberline Lodge which was the setting for the Overlook Hotel in the film 'The Shining'.

A few weeks ago, while I was hiking in Holyrood Park, I took this photo overlooking Edinburgh, shortly after sunrise.

And now for a change of pace -- a view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains behind Taos, New Mexico. Classic northern New Mexico sky and new snow on the mountains -- who could ask for anything more!

Hope your week is going well. Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all. We are just back from a week in New Mexico, and I hope to begin catching up over the next few days.

The view from Moon View Road of the Blue Hills badlands. A young man stands on a rock outcrop.

We have often overlooked the beauty of sparrows, and of this little male house sparrow; the bird is so common. We actually first noticed the seemingly slight blueish grey top of the head on this bird in the sunlight. The browns and reddish browns showed up in the photo with the sharply contrasting blacks always seen.
