Three-year-old Cadence Weichert of Overland Park took a spin on the catwalk Friday evening with the help of her dad Bryan Weichert. The family was attending a fashion show and open house at Pinkie Couture, a hair salon and boutique at 7325 W. 80th Street in downtown Overland Park. The event was part of the Friday Night Art Market.

Long before the West was opened up, the most common way for Gold Rush migrants to get to Alsaka, Yukon and NorthWest territories would be to get a ship around Cape Horn and sail up the pacific west coast of the Americas. The Overlanders were the first group to attempt an overland journey. They made it but none of them made their fortune. These falls were 'discovered' by them on their intrepid journey.
