Niederlande, Zeeland, Ouddorp. Unser Familienurlaub diesen Sommer verschlug uns mal wieder dorthin. Es finden sich weite Sandstrände hinter den breiten Dünen. Inmitten der Dünen steht dieser Leuchtturm. Das Bild ist kurz vor Sonnenaufgang entstanden.

Lighthouse

Netherlands, Zeeland, Ouddorp. Our family vacation this summer took us there once again. There are wide sandy beaches behind the wide dunes. In the middle of the dunes stands this lighthouse. The picture was taken shortly before sunrise.

Gisteren lekker een rondje wezen doen in mijn oude territorium ;-) Probeer altijd te gaan rond deze tijd, de oostindische kers bloeit meestal wel en het graan en gerst staat mooi in goud die dus een mooie extra kunnen geven aan een landschapje. Voor de fotografen op Flakkee: ik zou niet te lang wachten want er was al gerooid hier en daar. Het was niet het beste weer maar dat schept weer andere mogelijkheden. Genomen met het ND8 grijsverloopfilter.

OUDDORP // Het (stuk)goederenvervoer per tram vervulde een belangrijke rol tot de opheffing van de laatste RTM-tramlijn in februari 1966. Stukgoed vanuit de grote stad richting de eilanden, suikerbieten naar de suikerfabriek Puttershoek, melk vanaf het platteland, post, etc etc. Hoewel bij de hoofdrolspeler op deze reeds in 1957 het betaalde vuur in de vuurkist werd gedoofd, kon het qua voertuigen een prima voorbeeld van de situatie in de periode 1965/66 voorstellen, het middagprogramma tijdens de fotoexcursie op 15 april 2023 stond onder andere in het teken van een RTM goederentram.

Stoomloc 50 uit 1913 kwam in actie met een mooi samengestelde goederentram. Van der Bergh in Rotterdam, de suikerfabriek Puttershoek, de korenmolen in Puttershoek; een handjevol historisch-correcte bestemmingen die als opschrift op een aantal goederenwagens stond als bestemmingsaanduiding. Op de Brouwersdam werden er na vertrek uit Ouddorp met de goederentram weer een fotomoment georganiseerd. Een historische brandweerwagen, type Ford F350 uit 1955, en een (voor die tijd) nieuwe Mercedes 230S uit 1965 werden opgesteld, met daartussen de 110-jarige 'oude dame' uit Kassel. De man met de zwarte hoed kijkt de trein aandachtig na als deze op gang komt.. doet het personeel alles netjes zoals de directie dat voorschrijft? Rijdt men op tijd? De boer wachtend op zijn melkbussen in Middelplaat heeft immers ook niet zoveel tijd ten opzichte van de 50 fotografen die er lustig op los fotograferen..

Na een tweede doorkomst van de stoomtram vervolgde het gezalschap inclusief historische voertuigen hun reis richting Middelplaat, voor het vervolg van het middagprogramma..

Entlang der Küste des Westhoofd steht der Leuchtturm von Ouddorp, auch Leuchtturm Westhoofd genannt. Kulturhistorisch erinnert er an seinen im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstörten Vorgänger. Der Leuchtturm ist ein wesentliches Element der niederländischen Küstenbeleuchtung und ein außergewöhnliches, da er der einzige ist, der nach dem Krieg errichtet wurde.

Der Leuchtturm ist ein außergewöhnliches Stück Handwerkskunst aus den Händen des Architekten G.W. Friedhoff, auch in der Architektur. Sein kraftvolles, robustes Design und seine ausgewogenen Proportionen sind beeindruckend. Als solches strahlt der Turm "Wachsamkeit und Stolz" aus und symbolisiert die nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wiedergewonnene Freiheit. Another great night at sea. There was a heavy storm and despite of my high boots I again managed to fill them completely. But I really had a good time!
