Oslo harbor with all the ferries coming and going 😊
They are on the move to the islands in the fjords and to a place called Nesodden.
Lots of people are travelling out to the small islands to enjoy swimming and barbequing.
It has been so dry for weeks now, so barbeque isn't allowed, but it's nice even tho to travel out to these islands.
All the yachts are pretty cool to watch too, some of them are pretty big.
Anchoring at AkerBrygge must be pretty nice for them, it's full of life here all season, lots of restaurants with various food.
It's indeed very nice.
Early morning at Oslo's food hall, empty but as the day grows so do the crowds. A great place with a buzzing atmosphere.
Oslo's Opera House is a landmark recognised worldwide and a magnet to tourists as well as locals. You don't just look at it. You walk it.
Munch Museum. Colorful hanging artwork "The Eye" by Kiyoshi Yamamoto, painting on silk, 2025. The monumental textile work floats and moves in the air.
Also, this floor of the museum offers a great view to Oslo's modern Barcode Quarter.

Oslo City Hall (Norwegian: Oslo rådhus) is a municipal building in Oslo, the capital of Norway. It houses the city council, the city's administration and various other municipal organisations. The building as it stands today was constructed between 1931 and 1950, with an interruption during the Second World War. It was designed by architects Arnstein Arneberg and Magnus Poulsson. The building is located in the city center, in the northern part of the Pipervika neighbourhood, and it faces Oslofjord.
Picture was taken at the crossing between Biskop Gunnerus gate, and Fred Olsens gate, near the Central Station in Oslo.
The Oslo Opera House was completed in 2008.
The roof of the building angles to ground level, creating a large plaza that invites pedestrians to walk up and enjoy the panoramic views of Oslo. While much of the building is covered in white granite and La Facciata, a white Italian carrara marble, the stage tower is clad in white aluminium, in a design by Løvaas & Wagle that evokes old weaving patterns.
The 28th day, and my final stage I wandered around Oslo mainly visiting musea like Vikingskipshuset, Frammuseum and Kontiki-museet. All musea were wonderful, the Konitiki somewhat special because it gave an excellent image of Thor Heyerdahl, who more than I expected has been a man with an amazingly humanitarian vision, something we miss dearly in many of our stupid politicians, the last disaster from America fresh in mind.
This picture reminds me in a way of Johannes Vermeers View of Delft (gezicht op Delft). Light, clouds, part of an old cityscape, but this picture can not stand in the shadow of Vermeers brilliant painting.
Norway, a stunningly beautiful country. Around every corner a chance for a scenic image, forcing me from time to time to stop every kilometer to get out of my car, sometimes with screeching brakes, and sometimes forcing me to curse because there was no place to stop.
Lovely valleys, bare mountains and cold winds, snow packs, glaciers, beautiful lakes, and then there are the enchanting fjords that never stop to amaze. The most beautiful country of Europe, for me no doubt about that, with only one minor aspect, which is the weather. During my month of traveling I only had 4 really nice days, the rest of the time clouds, rain, and very changeable! Still no regret, and I will go back to make even more than the 3500 pictures that I took this time.
Another very active vacation that took me to the south west up to Trondheim in a sort of triangle between Oslo- Trondheim and Bergen with the whole route visible here (www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153668247101759&set...).
