The sudden appearance of the creature sent a shiver down his spine. He could just about make out it's grim features in the half darkness and was thankful that the light was no better. What on earth was his Mother-in-law doing there anyway?
Swiftly the darkness appeared to thicken and brush against the very bristles of his waxed moustache. The Oracle had arrived and things were about to take a turn for the worse...

Another hike in Arizona ... this time at the Oracle State Park. It's amazing the difference between this hike and the one at Picacho Peak. Not just the terrain ... Oracle is a much easier series of trails ... but the plant life !! This park is only about 50 miles east of Picacho, and about 3000 ft higher in elevation ... but the Plant life is way different - there are wild Yucca all over the place, and grasses (heck there were times we thought we were on the African Savannah !!). But the day was beautiful !!
