Another picture of Oracle, taken on a different trip. The place just oozes the "I spend money and am therefore important" flavor of corporate arrogance.

Ever since the Batgirl Pullip was announced I planned on getting two, one to keep as Batgirl and one to turn into Oracle. For non-comic fans Oracle is who Barbara Gordon aka. Batgirl becomes after being crippled at the hands of the Joker in the Killing Joke.

As the Oracle, Barbara is indispensable to the superhero community as an information broker where she relies more on her keen intellect and computer skills to fight crime in an increasingly technological world. She eventually goes on to found the Birds of Prey crime fighting team with Dinah Lance aka. Black Canary.

During the recent DC relaunch Barbara Gordon regained her ability to walk in the comics (The Killing Joke still happened but she was eventually rehabilitated and able to walk again).

Simon, Paris.

Questions

Imagine if God were a Magic 8 Ball

You could ask anything

Provided it’s a yes or no question

The answer could be vague

Or not to your satisfaction

Still

It’d be nice to get some answers

If only I could figure out

How to pose the questions

I’m chock full

Yet lost to verbalize them

And none of them are Yes/No

Why is beauty so important to us, to me?

Who created units of time

And how did we become enslaved to them?

What do I need to do

To cut through all pretenses

And experience what matters most?

Where are you?

(Please don’t tell me everywhere

I want to *see* you!)

Last but heaviest on my mind

When will all this madness end?

Too many questions

None of them Yes/No

Still

It’d be nice to get some answers

Even if to someone else’s questions

You know things are bad

When you consult the Magic 8 Ball for advice.

Even worse when your 8 ball is an asshole like mine.

See for yourself:

Will I quit my job?

– Definitely not

Will I ever make a living from art?

– Outlook not good

Will I ever sell a piece?

– Don’t count on it

Am I wasting my time?

– As I see it, yes

Is my art even any good?

– It could be seen as yes

Are you a #$^&*@%?

– Better not tell you now

I rest my case.

However, it’s not all bad.

When I asked if I was going to be ok

It replied YES.

hiiii grace à Ehowinn j'ai eu cette beautée <3 <3
