It was on the 26th March 2026 - excellent evening called
“In Conversation with Chris Packham” held at the impressive gallery - Iconic Images Gallery - Piccadilly.
Been plenty of press coverage recently in the Times as well as others no doubt.
It was sponsored by MPB the camera exchange company who sent out invites to this evening event.
Some amazing images on display but eye watering prices for some of them, however the gallery is free to members of the public to enjoy.
One eye catching image of Kate Moss is up for sale at £30,000 no less in their catalogue.
You do get free postage !!!
It was hosted by Richard Ansett who was very good in recalling events with Chris over his career.
Got to say it was a super event with generous gifts and wine refreshments. Sadly and wisely I settled for a glass of water as had to drive back home from a local train station.
Chris Packham opened up with some amusing stories as well as some insights into some of his personal life and hobby of photography. This included the content of some of his freezers that contained a number of dead animals!! Some would be thawed out and then photographed. And then re-frozen for another time. He is a scientist so not quite surprising.

This was a very quick grab shot. I was waiting for a ride, having put my car into service and this Herky Bird showed up. I had my little Sony DSC-WX220 with me and managed a single shot.
Converted to B+W and edited using RNI Films.
