The Calm Sea is an oil painting made by artist Gustave Courbet. It was created in 1869 and the dimensions are 23 ½ by 28 ¾ inches. This peaceful painting is part of the H. O. Havemeyer Collection, Bequest of Mrs. H. O. Havemeyer, 1929. Courbet’s piece is public domain and can be viewed on the met museum website.
