The One World Tower is part of the world trade centre complex in lower Manhattan that is nearing completion after its time empty post 9/11. This is now the tallest tower in the Western Hemisphere and provides both a home for business and a breathtaking view for visitors. This picture is taken from the foot of the tower, not far from ground zero which commemorates the victims of the 9/11 attacks. Looking up, this tall building seems to go on into space, especially on a clear, icy winters morning as this day was.
