“I have courage to accomplish my dreams. Four years ago I left Venezuela to come to the U.S. by myself to start a new life. It wasn’t easy to come to a new country without knowing the language or anybody. This experience has made me stronger in mind and spirit. I also learned how to believe in myself more. Now I feel that I can face difficulty without fear”. From the "One Word" Project, 2011.

Summer, Sunflowers, Sunshine, and Toddlers. :)

My word for the year...

What a wonderful Christmas and Boxing Day we had. And now... finally... it is snowing.

The art supplies are creeping back into the dining room again and all is well in my world.

If you're looking for writing prompts check out oneword.com. Of course, I used the prompt as a journal page prompt instead.

This is just like the other one just extremely bright!

She waited on the edge of the stone path...sure that her dream would be by any moment to carry her off into another world.

This is a display for Pacific's "One Word" project. It's where every incoming student is asked to pick a single word that describes them or their goals, and then they are photographed exhibiting that word. More can be found at pacificoneword.org/community/. This display is up temporarily on Pacific's Stockton campus.

trying to focus on learning to crochet..... i have had better luck with knitting as far as my ends being square and even when i'm finished. (what am i doing wrong??) with crochet it seems much harder for me not to make a scarf that ends up looking like a trapezoid, LOL! :-/

anyhoo...i think i'll unravel the one above and go grab my knitting needles instead. and begin again.
