Before you get all up in my face, no, this is not a bash on religion in any form - this shot is of a brush pile in the woods and there is literally a dead Christmas tree in there, though it's hard to see.

I have the hardest time getting an accurate scan of this duochrome film. Here I took PS liberties, two clicks - AutoTone and AutoColor. I like the effect.

This little tree was given to me by my neighbor in early December of 2023, a short time after the death of our dog, Musky. It was a little "Christmas tree," the kind you can frequently find at the grocery store around the winter holidays.
After growing it for a few months, and realizing its health, I decided to prune it in the style of an informal upright bonsai tree.
It has since thrived, and requires several prunings throughout the summer and fall. I call him "Musky," in honor of my beloved boy.

This year I'm using a different film format each month, starting with the smallest and working my way up through the sizes. The format for November is Polaroid SX-70, which has a slightly larger image area than last month's 6x9cm 120 format.
This was taken with a Polaroid 1000 camera (known as Polaroid Onestep in the US), it uses SX-70 film, which is once more available, having been revived by The Impossible Project a few years ago.
We are leaving for Japan next month and started the countdown last night when we finally purchased our tickets (it was almost impossible finding a return flight) and confirmed out hotels in Shinjuku. Any and all recommendations are welcome! :)
*Test shot taken with a Polaroid OneStep Close-Up I purchased earlier today at a Goodwill shop in Burien for $3.99. Since the flash always fires I manually disabled it by covering it with a black sock while pressing the shutter button. Et voilà! :)
