We had some freakishly warm weather the other day, so I tried a few outdoor Polaroids. Here's one, using Impossible Project PX 100 Orange Flash film.

hookay, I admit, these are not the world's greatest photographs... but they are my first polaroids ever. EVER.
Basically this is me fiddling around with the exposure settings etc and finding out 'set exposure to fully darken' is indeed rather to be recommended... If one doesn't have an ND filter (yet)... :D

Polaroid 600
SX-70 Sonar OneStep
This is the "Polaroid OneStep SX-70" camera, it is a Polaroid Land Camera what was produced by Polaroid from 1977 to 1980; and would have originally retailed for about $29.95 to $49.95 US.
Polaroid would produce various cameras under the "OneStep" name from 1977 to 2002. This camera is virtually identical to the "Polaroid Time-Zero OneStep SX-70 Rainbow" which was produced from 1981 to 1982; and was meant as a replacement for the original "OneStep". The only real differences between the two models are that on the regular "OneStep" (shown above) the face plate is white; also the shutter button and the accent around the lens are round. As apposed to the later "Time-Zero OneStep” which instead features a black face plate as well as a square shutter button and lens accent. Both models feature the classic Polaroid "rainbow" stripe on the front of the camera.
Cameras like this have become fairly collectible in recent years since Polaroid discontinued the production of their line of instant cameras; and ceased the production of instant film in 2009(although the instant film is still produced by Fujifilm as well as the “Impossible Project”) I recently purchased this camera at a local thrift store for $4.00; it appears to be in excellent condition and it even came with the "Polaroid Q-Light" flash attachment.

This past weekend I found an almost new OneStep Polaroid (with the original box) for $10. You bet I snatched it up immediately. I even tried to haggle with the guy. Yeah, I’m not that good at haggling. I love this shot, even if it’s a little on the blurry side. We were walking down the street (shooting, of course) and all I could see were these red shoes sticking out from under a juniper bush. Yes, I got down on my hands and knees to take the shot. Oh, there’s a photo of me taking the shot, thanks to the pabloest of them all. Thing is, he shot it with my Ricoh, so it resides on my memory card and will never see the light of day. Ha!

My seventh and eighth packs of polaroids with the OneStep+ were the Stranger Things special edition with thematic frames. I started shooting them in late spring 2020 and throughout the summer. These are some of my favorites.

This is an older shot from before when I didn't have an ND filter - considering it was taken in bright sunlight, it's doing alright for overexposure...
Tenancy is nearly up at B Flat and so having to put stuff into boxes yet again and move home, only that space (home) gets smaller and smaller these days. Walls are caving in sometimes. In my madness of collecting cameras in my old place which I then use once and then cannot maintain using, it has led to being bogged down with much stuff, antiquities and more stuff. So I am getting rid of a few cameras. Amongst other things.

One last B for FILM26. Had to try out the new Polaroid One-Step and my first pack of Impossible Project film
OK... my Polaroid friends out there. I need some insight. I'm getting this stripe down the center, some have the area where there is no image (brown) and the colors are a bit wacky. I did sheild some as they came from the camera and some not - like not this one. Does sticking it a pocket really fast count for sheilding and setting it face down? Is the brown area a function of the film? the camera? the operator? or some combo? Any helpful insight into the world of Polaroid would be greatly appreciated. This is my first pack of PX600 Colorshade. It took almost all day to fully develope - is that the norm?
