My seventh and eighth packs of polaroids with the OneStep+ were the Stranger Things special edition with thematic frames. I started shooting them in late spring 2020 and throughout the summer. These are some of my favorites.

A while back I shot this ice cream machine with my Fuji X100 and gave it a bit of a retro look in post production. In the back of my head though I knew I wanted to try again but using my SX70. The Snap! Magazine comp gave me the perfect excuse. Even if I have left it until the last minute :)

One week ago, we had a long holiday, we call "Golden Week", in Japan, so I decided to go back to my hometown. Whenever I go back there, I am usually eager to meet my old friends and skateboard together, but after I get immersed in taking photos, I can't help going out to go to great places to take photos when it is sooooooooooooo sunny. Time time, I went to a place, "Yamadano", that has a lot of rape blossoms. Also, amazingly, this place doesn't have any person. My father and I occupy this place !!! I feel it very luxurious !!! I think that this is absolutely the advantage of a local area. During summer holiday, I might go back to my hometown again because in Japan, there are so many unique summer festivals, so I am really in the mood for taking photos of them. Off course, I will spend time with my friends a lot next time !!!

Saw this funky yellow bus parked up at Hestercombe Gardens in Somerset and couldn't resist taking a pic.

Rainbow cool buildings near Holborn. That's not a low flying cloud in the top left corner by the way, but a light leak.
Lovin' the cartoon-like effect I got with this one. The trees are spectacular here at this time of year and I really can't take enough shots of these cherry trees. This one, in my backyard, taken with my SX-70 on TZ-Artistic. Used the handle of a bread knife to add the little swirlies in the sky. Usually I'd add some flame to make a bubble of interest somewhere in there but thought I'd leave well enough alone. You might be able to do this in PS but it's a hell of a lot more fun doing it to a Polaroid with your own hands!

When I took this I honestly wasn't sure if anything would come out. There was so much glass and light reflecting off it and I didn't think to turn off the sonar function. I'm guessing some light got in there after all but it's much better than I expected.

PX 70 Color Shade film from The Impossible Project
I was happy to find the waterlilies because I knew they'd be a good match for this film. Still struggling to bring out the details and get it light enough with the 600 camera. The scan really shows more detail than I can see myself, so I guess that's a good thing. Still can't get any other colors. maybe too cold at 60 degrees F?

My grandpa, passed away in April this year (2025).
Trying to get back into uploading photos here, haven't been able to shoot or scan as often now with two kids in the house, but it still is an important outlet for me.

Last year I bought a Polaroid OneStep+ to complete my instant photography with more manual settings. These are my first, experimental shots with the camera, trying out the multiple exposures.

ahhhhhh i finally have a polaroid <3 all thanks to brendan! my new camera was a (very late but very much appreciated) valentine's gift. i took a picture of it with my minolta, so i'll have it up once i get that roll developed :)
in the meantime, know this: my camera's name is dexter and the pictures it takes are amazing. a little wonky, but amazing.
by the way: does anyone have a polaroid camera (specifically a OneStep) who could offer me any advice on taking photos? i can't seem to figure out the lighting knob, and i'm not sure if the photos are just coming out this way because of what i'm doing or because of the film (Impossible Project). thanks :)
