Polaroid OneStep with Impossible Mystery Film. L/D wheel = 1 dark (Batch 02/2011)

Now I say mystery film because I have no idea what it is. Found it in the back of my cupboard. It was in a plain black box with Impossible on the front but nothing else. I'm thinking it might be push? I took two shots and when I checked the first one it had those pinkish tones that I noticed when I shot a pack last week. I stuck them under my arm for 10 mins or so and that seemed to improve the contrast. I then blasted this one for a couple of minutes under the hand dryer in the ladies loos before sticking it back in my pocket.

This year I'm using a different film format each month, starting with the smallest and working my way up through the sizes. The format for November is Polaroid SX-70, which has a slightly larger image area than last month's 6x9cm 120 format.

This was taken with a Polaroid 1000 camera (known as Polaroid Onestep in the US), it uses SX-70 film, which is once more available, having been revived by The Impossible Project a few years ago.

"Atmospheric rivers consist of narrow bands of enhanced water vapor transport, typically along the boundaries between large areas of divergent surface air flow [...]. Pineapple Express storms are the most commonly represented and recognized type of atmospheric rivers; the name is due to the warm water vapor plumes originating over the Hawaiian tropics that follow various paths towards western North America, arriving at latitudes from California and the Pacific Northwest to British Columbia and even southeast Alaska." (Wikipedia)

My third and fourth packs of polaroids with the OneStep+ were colored instant films with holiday themed frames. Here are some of the shots I liked the most from the most recent Christmas celebrations.

Starting with these packs, I bought the special lens set for the OneStep+, so I could experiment a bit with playful exposures.
