Many thanks for your much appreciated favorites and comments.
The sun was moving toward the horizon, so I decided to use its light to capture images of a liquid world. A large dish of water elevated above colorful fabric with the addition of liquid soap and oil...and I was ready. It seemed to take forever, yet I actually cheered when I saw this image through my macro lens. Haven't we all been caught in the middle of something?
The oil painting was painted by someone named Bos.
Unfortunately, I have no information about this painter.
The painting belonged to my parents and hangs somewhere in my house.

Thanx for Viewin, Favin, and Commentin on my Stream!
Engine oil mixing with water in a parking lot is very nasty for the environment but it does make for an interesting and colorful abstract. Utah County, Utah.
This 'subject' always catches my eye - and my salad. A couple of others are in the first comment box.
- Keefer Lake, Ontario, Canada -
I was trying to find the balance of backlight and lighting the strawberry directly. The surface of the water and oil reflect the direct light which causes crazy highlights. My setup is in a closet and I am working on the floor which helps dictate how long I can work. When my back and legs are done, I pack it up.
I forgot to mention that the ice pancakes in the foreground are quite solid for walking on. Unfortunately they weren't as solid as I thought and quite a bit slipperyer (hmm..that's not looking like a word).
