Office building Salamanca, designed by Rietveld Architects of New York, is a light and transparent structure with striking, geometric forms. The front facade of the office block is about 2,5 meter forward of the vertical. To this end, the row of columns on this side is also inclined forward, some 0,5 meter per floor. By combining casting and prefabrication, it was possible to avoid having to scaffold the entire structure and to gradually build at an angle from floor to floor. The main entrance hall leads to a glass space that has a void over the full height of the building. Each floor joins this void in an open connection. The sloping facade gives an exciting feeling when you reach down and look over the glass balustrade.
Georgian building situated within 'The Liberty of Norton Folgate', (best Googled) an area of stunning Georgian and Victorian buildings that were allowed to be desecrated by the blithering, bumbling, morally corrupt creature that is currently occupying the position of British Prime Minister.

Office space, NYC. To get the lady in the light and yet her shadow in the window and also the man and his shadow inside the window box required some determination.
I find myself coming back to this shot frequently as it is very challenging. I never seem satisfied with whatever results i get. There's either wind from the lake or the water that constantly moves the boats that stops me from getting a sharp image. I'm hoping chicago experiences one of those tropical nights where everything is muggy and not a wisp of wind and then maybe......i just need 20 seconds. :)
Maybe able to get some work done without stationery but not without coffee!
Current mood: coffee dreams. 😜

The warm glow of sunlight reflecting off large windows, creating a serene atmosphere in a modern building.
Although all the flashy neon and bright lights are missing, this was taken during a day of photography in Times Square. A lot of people forget that this area is more than an entertainment district; it's home to a lot of big office buildings too. I'd love to work in the heart of Times Square. The views from these offices must be spectacular!
For those of you who know this square, this image is not real since the sculpture Reflexiones (known as The Cubes) have never stopped being on the ground.
It is my first official and public attempt at photoshop working with advanced selections, blending modes, and modifications.
The truth is that I don't know what to think about the resulting image.
If you stand under the sculpture and look up, it is as if it was suspended in the sky so here we go, I have raised it to the roof! You can see that effect in my previous post.
Located right at Don Mills & Eglinton, and connected by underground passageway to the Science Centre station on the new Metrolinx LRT line, Crosstown Place will offer 250,000 square feet of next-generation work spaces for thriving enterprises.

This week - Love.
I love Office Space. Who doesn't love Office Space? If you haven't seen it, I suggest renting or illegally downloading it immediately. Here's a preview.
TRF: I bought the poster board and construction paper at Dollar Tree and spent like an hour and a half making this. I've become a crazy Flickr person! :-)
Great news! I have the all clear to walk on my own again :) The MRI didn't show any acute injury of any kind. All he sees is a possible small meniscus tear (where I don't have pain) and arthritis. So while I won't be running any marathons any time soon it is fine to put weight on it to walk around the house and do light shopping, etc. YAY! No surgery or further treatment is needed. If it's still hurting in a couple of weeks he wants me to check back with him. Meanwhile I do plan to work with acupuncture - have had success with it for various aches and pains in the past.
Also Great news: I have improved my upper body strength during the past several weeks :o)
Bummer news: Although I have the go-ahead to put weight on my leg, it still hurts and pops. "Oh, I can give you a cortisone shot for that" was his reply. I didn't say so, but I wondered, OK why didn't you do THAT when I told you the same thing two weeks ago!!? While I can appreciate (sort of) the doc's super-cautious pre-MRI treatment of my knee I am very frustrated by the unnecessary inconvenience and the fact that he did nothing to relieve the pain. If it still hurts in a couple of weeks, I'll check with a different doctor!
Meanwhile, I'll do some stretches and work to improve my very awkward walking. And for some reason it's tender to straighten it. (no answer from him on that) It's amazing how quickly muscles stiffen when not used the way they are designed to be used.
And, I have to share this reply from a friend, "With your Maseratis and your new upper body strength and your OK knees and your DevaCurled hair, there will be no stopping you!" (FYI: DevaCurl is a product I recently discovered. It's supposed to be a fabulous product line for Curly Girls).
Onward!
