Flowers set out to welcome young agrarians to Willow Springs Organic Farm. Willy and Les were the most gracious of hosts. Their passion for supporting new and young farmers, and for cultivating Kootenay food security is a thing of beauty.
In another compost-heated greenhouse at Willow Springs, cucumbers grow happily. Willy gets about 10 2lb cukes off each plant, so he's happy, too!
VCR and DVD combo, VCR doesn't work, DVD works great. Unit only a couple of years old and wasn't used alot....just a bad VCR I guess
15 piece matching linens for bed..... pillows included. Mattress is clean and has no people stains. We had a foam mattress topper on it so we have never slept right on the mattress....it's a comfortable mattress though

In the remote areas of Nepal, electricity infrastructures are highly vulnerable to impacts of climate change. With support from Japan, UNDP Nepal and partners have restored 14 micro hydro plants previously destroyed by flash floods, lighting up the lives of 70,000 off-grid residents. In addition to bringing steady supply of electricity to the community, the micro hydro plants will help cut carbon emissions by 45,000 tonnes in the next 15 years.

My daily process of herding around the chickens to a new area for semi free ranging.
Each day I spend about 45 minutes getting the chickens out and letting them eat free, natural food.
At night the birds go back into their chicken coop for safety.
We raise our own chicken for meat and eggs. We are trying to take our homestead off the grid and become self sufficient on a budget.
