My daily process of herding around the chickens to a new area for semi free ranging.

 

Each day I spend about 45 minutes getting the chickens out and letting them eat free, natural food.

This is a portable solar power system designed to be used 2 different ways. The actual sling pack can be carried without the hard case to keep weight down or the sling pack can be placed into the waterproof hard case so the battery and electronics are protected from bad weather.

 

This system has a battery capacity of 40 Amp Hours @ 12.8V DC. The MPPT Solar Charge Controller can handle 200w of Solar input at any given time. The DC output is limited to 40 Amps. The AC Inverter is 400W continuous. The solar panels shown are GSE P3-62 62w Folding solar panels and weight about 3 pounds each.
