SU46-029, the last of its kind, and 55224 "Niedźwiadek", the excursion train from Laskowice Pomorskie to Bydgoszcz Główna. The train is about to pass the distant signal pointing to the station in Wierzchucin. Signal displayed - Ot3, at next signal proceed at 40km/h.
To see a working mechanical/semaphore distant signal is a real rarity in Poland, no doubt. There is a subset of them, which is even rarer though, and is to be seen in ex-Prussian areas exclusively nowadays. The presented kind of mechanical distant signal can foresee weather the signal at a station will be showing a 'full speed ahead' or 'proceed at 40km/h' sign, which is useful on lines with lots of traffic. I would estimate the number of this kind of distant signal to be at around 10 in Poland right now. The most interesting thing about the picture though, is that the signal is not only working but also showing the descibed signal. This happens extremely rarely given the amount of traffic on branchlines these days, where most trains are simply let through the station with no halt at the side track.
To our total shock, me and Jarek were the only people to witness this. It was a big surprise given that over a hundred people chased the train around Pomerania.

SU46-029 with special touristic train ROS 55224 "Niedźwiadek" from Laskowice Pomorskie to Bydgoszcz Główna is just about to pass the forewarning disk to the main semaphore of Wierzchucimn station (from Bąk's side). Such three-position mechanical distant signal still operating is a real rarity in Poland (don't confuse this with a warning signal attached to the main semaphore), so we knew it's a must to spot. And we were rewarded with the reflected signal Ot3 - an arrow pointing to the side which means the main semaphor limits the speed, actually the most unique mechanical signal to see in Poland nowadays. June 10, 2023.
SU46-029 z pociągiem turystycznym Turkolu ROS 55224 "Niedźwiadek" właśnie mija tarczę ostrzegawczą do semafora stacji Wierzchucin od strony Bąka. Nie muszę tu mówić, jaka to rzadkość zobaczyć działającą mechaniczną trzystawną tarczę ostrzegawczą, w dodatku pokazującą sygnał Ot3.
Wiedzieliśmy, że musimy tu być, to miał być crème de la crème tej imprezy, ale Ot3 to się naprawdę nie spodziewaliśmy. 10 czerwca 2023 roku.

JNG50N the "carters" Bristol VR owned by R Walker in preservation. Sounds lovely this bus and has that characteristic VR whine which you can usually hear before you see the bus. Its a remarkable survivor the vehicle, having survived many years hidden in store at the famous Jordans, Coltishall dealership after Eastern Counties withdrew the bus in 1997.
