Due to the ongoing shutdown of Brussels Zaventem airport Brussels Airlines are operating their network out of several European airports - such as Zürich. Even though I welcome this Belgian widebody with heart and soul, the laughter sticks in my throat. May those infernal terrorists be driven back and their victims rest in peace...

First flown with the Airbus test registration F-WWKH, this aircraft was delivered to the International Lease Finance Corporation and leased to LTU Lufttransport Unternehmen as D-AERJ in May-95.
LTU was renamed LTU International Airways in Dec-96. It was returned to the lessor in Apr-97 and leased to Skyservice Canada as C-FBUS in May-97. It was first A330 to be registered in North America. Skyservice Canada was renamed Skyservice Airlines in Oct-97.
The aircraft was wet-leased to Airtours International Airways (UK) in Nov-00. Airtours sub-leased it to Garuda Indonesia Airlines, operated by Skyservice, in Jan-01 for a Haj Pilgrimage operation. It returned to Airtours in Feb-01 and returned to Skyservice at the end of Apr-01.
It was leased to Airtours again in Oct-1 and returned to Skyservice in Apr-02. Airtours was renamed MyTravel Airways in May-02 and the aircraft was leased to them in Oct-02, returning to Skyservice in Apr-03. The wet-lease was repeated between Nov-03 / Feb-04.
It was returned to the lessor in May-04 and a week later the aircraft was leased to Malaysia Airlines as 9M-MKR. It was returned to the lessor in Jan-10 and stored at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
At the end of Jun-10 the aircraft was leased to Brussels Airlines as OO-SFV. It managed another nine years with Brussels Airlines before it returned to the lessor and was permanently retired at Goodyear, AZ, USA in Jun-19 after 24 years in service. It was broken up at Goodyear in Dec-20. Updated 21-Jan-24.
