Taken in Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire, on what looked like a misty morning from afar but not enough to dull the bright morning sunlight. The morning was spent chasing sunrays and finding scenes lit up by the sun.
A colour re-edit of a shot previously done in mono back in June. Just adore the trunk shapes among the wonderful green foliage. Taken in Whiteleaf, Buckinghamshire.
Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival also featured two tethered hot air balloons which allowed riders a bird’s eye view of the Willamette Valley and the colorful tulip beds.

Over Heather Farm Pond in Walnut Creek, California
It rained the next day, the first rain of this rainy season, and these clouds mark the change in the weather.
Tangara montagnard (Buthraupis montana) est un oiseau de la famille des Thraupidés. Il se rencontre dans les Andes, ici , il est photographié en Equateur.
A Great Horned owl mother keeps an eye on her two fledglings as they practice their flying nearby. Seen after sunset in the north Walnut Creek area of California.
The map location is within 1 mile of the actual location.
A small cloud envelopes the top on One World Trade Center where the top of the building meets with communication mast atop on a cool fall evening. The rebuilding of the World Trade Center site was delayed while the New York City, New York State, Port Authority of NYNJ and Silverstein Properties squabbled about the final configuration of the site post the tragedy of September 11, 2001. One World Trade Center did not emerge from the slurry wall of the Ground Zero until 2012, 11 years after the tragic events, the final configuration and location represent careful studies from a security perspective. What many do not realize is that it’s design features 8 sides, representing the 4 sides of each of the original 6 & 7 World Trade Center, the original Twin Towers. - [ ] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot @wtc @nycurbanism @nybucketlist
On the National Register of Historic Places is the Sacramento Southern Pacific Railroad Depot an elegant passenger terminal built in 1925 designed by San Francisco architectural firm Bliss & Faville to replace the third Sacramento railroad depot. A gorgeous structure well preserved and still active for passenger traffic. The interior pictured here is typical of the grand train depots of that era, when train transit was still king as the automobile industry was in its infancy and the toys of the wealthy and aviation was a new weapon for the military. - [ ] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot @visitsacramento @visitcalifornia @southern.pacific
The elegant classic stone Egyptian styled obelisk that honors George Washington, who served as the victorious commander in chief the Continental Army of the American Revolutionary War, president of the Constitutional Convention, this nation’s first President, founding father and visionary who carefully chose the site the fledgling nation’s capital at what today is Washington DC towering at 555 feet, beautifully lit at night in the center of the National Mall in Washington DC in the image. When it was completed in 1884, it was the tallest man-made structure in the world. In 2011, a 5.8 earthquake occurred 84 miles southwest of DC in Virginia that cracked the monument, causing injuries although minor to visiting occupants within it, I felt the quake at my desk at work in Lyndhurst New Jersey. It was closed as a results of 150 cracks with the heaviest damage to the pyramidion or top of the monument. It reopened in 2014, I do have images in my image archives I’ll have to dig up of the monument clad in scaffolding to post. - [ ] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot @nationalparkservice @nationalmallnps @visitwashingtondc
Oachkatzl is the Bavarian name for squirrel ("Eichhörnchen"). Its bushy tail is called "Oachkatzlschwoaf" - a word which native Bavarians love to use to put non-native speakers to the (language) test ️😄

Located between downtown Hilo and Port of Hilo is the old Hilo Iron Works Building, that survived not one, but two tsunami’s in 1946 & 1960. Eight survivors in 1946 clung to the rafters as 30 foot waves pummeled the huge Hilo Iron Works complex. Ironically the complex survived the destructive 1946 Tsunami fortuitously because the factory has a breakaway corrugated iron roof & exterior because it was the cheapest and most cost-effective way to enclose the factory and that is why it stands today. Today’s modern buildings hotels in Hilo since it is always under threat of tsunami is breakaway exteriors to minimize the structural damage to the footing of buildings. Serendipitously the frugality of the Hilo Iron Works ensured its survival in both tsunami’s. Today, it serves as an industrial park, the iron works long gone. - [ ] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america @apple @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales #iphone13pro @visithilohawaii
