I posted a sign from this place a while ago and decided to go back for this week's Crazy Tuesday theme/signs. This is one of many along a woodland path in the Walk of Art - such a cool place filled with unique sculptures and fun signs.

......I said you share the rock with me but this is not cool. I'm not that kind of turtle. We just met"
Long-hood-forward is par for the course on the TennKen so I'll take it. TKEN GP28 9435 is pulling a string of empties from Helena Chemical - hidden behind the trees to the right - and will soon shove the ten waiting loads back onto the spur. GP28 9434 is holding those cars in place, out of view to the left.
A lucky find on a pike I've not had much luck with.
While out living the glamorous life of a photographer that my friends all think I have, I dropped to one knee in hopes to capture a photo of the wildlife. To my surprise I had chosen the perfect spot filled with burs. While trying to contain myself with 8 burs buried in my knee, I try not to spook the wildlife and still get the shot. During this painful time this duck swims straight at me and waddles up as if to say, "Ali are you OK?".
Ok, so it's not a partridge in a pear tree..but it's the thought that counts ;-)
Happy Wing Wednesday!
Jr had been engaging mom in some rough play up on the tundra and she finally decided enough was enough and it was time to get back to business.
So here she is pushing him back and down, putting a stop to his playful shenanigans, at least temporarily.
Cubs just wanna have fun. And since this youngster didn't have a sibling, mom had to do.
I could have cropped in quite a bit but I like the surroundings and thought you might, too.
It's Christmas! Time to roll out the crappy slides.
In this case, a CN grain train rolls west at Willingdon Control, Burnaby, BC (just east of Vancouver) in the care of three former BC Rail C40-8Ms, so I'll make an exception. I didn't have a lot of extra time to make trips north while stationed in Washington State, and thus, never saw a consist like this again. At least my slide records show I followed this train a little further, something I rarely did in those days.
The ex-glacier Ok (left, 1177 m; it was declared as not-a-glacier-anymore in 2014, due to its thinning) and the glacier Þórisjökull (right, 1350 m), seen from the south from Mt. Hrafnabjörg.
