Am off-line during the stormy weather in the Pacific Northwest.
Thanks for stopping by, will catch up when the power failures etc are over. Fortunately, the weather hasn't been anywhere near as bad for us as predicted :-)

THREE FULL DAYS STAYING ON SKOMER ISLAND, with my brother Bob, the forcast looks not very good, but it will be great fun, and you know what to expect with my images, in the next coulpe of weeks, puffins ans more puffins.

TINY BIRD which can be recognized by its dumpy proportions, mainly dark brown plumage and its habit of frequently cocking its tail upright, The wren is rather unobtrusive as it creeps through low vegetation in search of insects, and is extremely vocal. Seen at Stodmarsh Nature Reserve Kent. UK

I'M OFF !!! ....DESPITE being a comparatively recent addition to the British birds, the Collared Dove is now a familiar sight in the region. SOMETHING , has to be said about its voice, it utters a repeative and, for many people and me mildly irritating song that comprises a much repeated oo-oo-oo phrase.

Looking away from the Milky Way back towards the peaks of the Teton Range ... it was an amazing calm night there along the Snake River.
Cannot wait to get home to see more of the takes taken here and elsewhere ... but getting ready for a long sleep and early rise as we head off to Glacier National Park next. Internet and cell service is very limited there, so will be off line for some time now.
