Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a yellow day at Color my world Daily and since it is super hot in Montreal right now, Mr. Egg is spending his days laying outside in his brand new long chair… He does it even during the night, since the temperature is a little bit cooler during night hours… And his friend , Mr. Teddy Bear, lent him his bran new lamp. This way, Mr. Egg can enjoy some light and a bearable temperature ….It is a well known fact, that eggs dont like boiling temperatures… They are very prone to crack under pressure as well…. But, with all that yellow (very joyful color!!), with his drink near, his long chair, his glasses and the lamp, we are in a very, very low stress environment.
Lets hope my meeting will be very, very stress free this morning !!

Portland Head Light is a historic lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. It was built in 1791 and is now fully automated.
Legend says that Atlantis city was built by Poseidon, god of sea when he fell in love with a mortal woman Cleito. He made this city on top of a nearby hill and named it Atlantis. It is believed that he walked through these islands until he reached the biggest of them all- Atlantis and found it to be inhabited by people more beautiful and intelligent than rest of the world. It is here he first saw his future wife and fell in love with her.

I´m on my feet again , slowly , slowly, I'll be back.
A lot of training right now, and it's hard to sit at the computer.
But I'm glad that finally I'll soon have two healthy knees to go with it.

Now the commonest and most widespread UK bird of prey. The buzzard is quite large with broad, rounded wings, and a short neck and tail. When gliding and soaring it will often hold its wings in a shallow 'V' and the tail is fanned. Buzzards are variable in colour from all dark brown to much paler variations, all have dark wingtips and a finely barred tail. Their plaintive mewing call could be mistaken for a cat.
What they eat: Buzzards tend to eat small mammals, birds and carrion. Even earthworms and large insects when other prey is in short supply.

Expect that the captain aboard the ferry to Denmark, was reasonably "pissed off" when we didn't move our boat fast enough out of his way. Although they used the ship`s whistle / horn eagerly ...... But we were on a fishing trip and then everything else have to wait..... :-) Sorry Captain!

We passed this guy who climbed to the top of this rock formation at the start of our hike. When we passed by on the way back, about an hour later, he was still there. Maybe he was waiting for someone, taking in the view, resting or...?
Evidently rock climbing is permitted in this area because there was a climber on each rock face near the parking area. Some were experienced; some seemed like they were stuck, like the guy in the next picture.

Now that most crabapples have been picked off the trees these resourceful robins have resorted to foraging for any dropped fruits among the fallen leaves.
Today's Smile on Saturday theme is full of memories. A very interesting theme, but hard for me. I have so many wonderful memories. Many of them revolve around our boat and the family and friends who joined us cruising. But even limiting myself to boating photos, there were so many truly awesome places that we visited, I couldn't chose one. So I chose this one - an everyday type of place and scene. Put it in mono since it's a memory now, as is our boat, which we sold in early 2020.

A very busy summer schedule has kept me away from social media for a while, so it feels good to be able to post a new image again.
I came across this place completely by accident while trying to decide on a future international trip, and immediately knew that no matter where this place was located, I just had to photograph here. Now, this beautiful and unusual beach has instantly been added to my favorite places list. This is one of those locations I could easily photograph every day, for at least a month.
I will include all the details about this magical place in my next post.

Ronda now has about 36 thousand residents. It is located on both sides of the ravine of the river Guadalevín. The city consists of two districts. In Mercadillo, the newer part of the city is the church Nuestra Señora del Socorro. In 1557 came here hospital for pilgrims and the poor under the name Socorro. In the 18th century was built new temple which, after reconstruction and fire, in the 20th century was finally given this form.
