Birmhamhan city centre, for once came alive over this weekend from the long haul of the pandemic and not much activity? - Until now, because of this festival certainly broke up the activity and silence around the city streets.

So, it was great to see this colourful and joyful festival in the city, as Birmingham Pride returns.

Birmingham Pride is now the UK's biggest two-day LGBTQ+ festival. It begins with a carnival parade from Victoria Square down to the Gay Village in Hurst Street, where they display a very colourful Street Party, throughout the city streets of Brum.

Now glad to say, that all my email notifications from flickr are starting to come back in.

The artist behind the 120ft giant replica is David Best probably best known for his work at the 'Burning Man' festival.

The burning took place on 1-4 September 2016 and was a commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Great Fire of London.

In a Land Far Far Away

I'm sure at one point in time when we were all younger we heard the beginning of a story start out with "Once upon a time"......am I right?... So this photo is for all those old memories of hearing those words that began a fairytale story.

!!! I'm so excited about this photo, has to be one of my favs that I have done, but it took me forever b/c I am still trying to figure out PS...I'm getting there.

The dress is a wedding dress that I wore to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball( NOT to my wedding), and Its a bugger to get into!!!...plus its too small for me, I didn't know wedding dresses ran 2 sizes small!....and since I don't have a crinoline, I put pillows underneath it to make it look poofy.

Normally these Cats would Run when I got near, but they stayed 'Eyeball to Eyeball' until I was standing over them. THEN the Fight Started 😮
