And no the picture is not flipped or angled this really was a nose dive., and perhaps it does look more like an anatomy book shot than a wildlife shot but I thought it was worth uploading
Last Saturday, we packed our rucksacks for another wonderful sunny day on Dartmoor - this time a lovely round we did last year for the first time including Hound Tor, Hayne Down and the famous granite stack that is known as Bowerman's Nose. From this perspective it really looks like a face with a large chin and a distintive nose. There's all sorts of legends and stories associated with this spectacular rock formation.
Now they are quite comfortable in each other's company.

This was a resident cow I found on a mountain pasture in the beautiful Montafon/Austria. I couldn't resist getting very close to the cow with my new 16-35mm Lens. Later people told me that this can be quite dangerous 👀

The brisk air the bites the nose with snow on the trees across the lake seemed fresh, even inviting. Taken at Suttle Lake, Oregon on a calm winter afternoon.
On Saturday, we had our first proper walk this year, revisiting one of our family favourites. The circular walk starts at Hound Tor and takes in iconic Bowerman's Nose, the incredible granite stack marvelled at by my boys. The sun came out the minute we were back at the car...LOL.
For those interested in the entire walk, I made a video:
This nose belongs to the older one of the Kunekune pigs at the park. It's a dirty nose but pigs use their snout to dig in the dirt and search for food.
I love the heart-shaped marking on the chin of this pig. :)

The day after flying in i was pretty jet lagged so i was up at 5am. With nothing to do for the whole day i decided to walk the 4 miles to Nose Hill Park. After walking around the park and finding a few deer i headed back to the hotel and picked up a bit Korean Fried Chicken on the way. They sell fries/chips with separate cheese powder, delicious! Reminded me of the old crisps you used to be able to get(Shake n Flavour).
