Ik heb de Noordzee nog nooit zo blauw gezien als afgelopen maandag. Een onwezenlijke kleur voor de Noordzee. De lucht was strakblauw, maar bij de horizon zat een soort beige band.
Windows Spur Road. Arches National Park is a US National Park in eastern Utah. The park is located on the Colorado River 4 miles (6 km) north of Moab, Utah. It is known for containing over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the world-famous Delicate Arch, in addition to a variety of unique geological resources and formations.
The park is located just outside Moab, Utah.
Turret Arch through the North Window in the Arches National Park, looking at the Turret arch. I posted a variant of this image a while ago, but I actually like this one better. This view is quite well known. But it requires that you are there quite early. The other point is that it requires some climbing, which is not hard, unless you are burdened with a tripod and other equipment. So be prepared when you go for it.

"The star of the North
will bring the shaving.
But as if seen through the sea sail,
I will become a wave and a fire,
to embrace you abroad.
And you, my lost homeland, are far away,
you will become a caress and a wound
as if dawning on another earth.
Now I fly for the festival of life.
Now I fly for my joy's celebration.
My old moons,
my new birds,
chase the sun and the day from the mountain,
to see me pass
like lightning in the sky."

A North American Porcupine (Erethizon dorsatum) munching on the bark of a willow shrub along the roadside in the agricultural landscape east of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
There are three subspecies of porcupine in Alberta based on their range distribution and colouration with this one falling under the Alaska subspecies.
It appeared to be trying to blend in with the shrub by not moving, but it did not work as the light colour of the guard hairs made it very visible.
