It can be a little tricky to decipher at first what this whole revolutionizing piece of software that every competitive nerd is talking about in alien languages (many times to purposefully feel important) called NodeJs, actually is.
So you’re probably here because nobody else could make...
March 2014: Updated UI around EXIF, showing some nice illustrations for roughly the top 40 cameras on Flickr. Where applicable, we show the device name, a line-art illustration of the device (and a generic lens if lens data is present), along with camera settings.
EXIF data can vary widely since it's generated per-device, so there may be some variations in formatting of values and numbers.
If we don't have an exact match for a given camera, we try to fall back to the general device class/category if known (i.e., smartphone, DSLR, point-and-shoot and the like.)
There will be cases where we don't have a match or fallback, but we hope to get the most common/popular devices and can revise this over time.

My NodeJS and Raphaël arrived yesterday so I added them to the lappy.
I bought a bunch of both, so if you're at SydJS tonight, come see me for the hook up.
There are some others I added a while back without a photo, so notes show them too. Lisa got them for me from a Yahoo! stand at WebDU, I think.
See the previous state for explanations of the other ones that aren't detailed here.
I've been working on creating my own image browser. It's still a work in progress and I have a ways to go.
Features working so far:
* Image upload
* Title, Description and Keyword metadata editing. The updated metadata is also written to the EXIF / IPTC fields.
* View all images on a map, or view an individual image on the map.
* Add an image to the map.
* Album creation, update and deletion.
* Rate an image.
* Apply a color label
* Keyboard navigation and shortcut keys for every interaction.
* Endless scroll (load images on the fly as you scroll down the grid)
* Zoom in feature
* Browse the library by dates.
* Search filters
* Full screen slideshow.
* Change thumbnail sizes.
* Select Mode - select a bunch of images and only show the "selects" - useful for bulk operations.
* Address look up when GPS coordinates are present.
* Displays top 10 most prevalent colors in the image.
* Displays weather data for when the picture was made based off of camera time and GPS location.
* Thumbnails are rendered using the AVIF image format - saves about 50% of storage space when compared to saving JPG files. No quality is lost.
Tech Stack:
* API Application - Node.js
* MongoDB
* Client Application - Node.js, MithrilJS
* Nginx
* Docker
* Kubernates
There's still a lot to do, but I'm making progress.
Cinco meses: Hoy me regañaron.
No entiendo nada.
Me habian olvidado.
Diecisiete meses:He intentado encontrar el camino para volver a casa y no lo he conseguido.Estoy perdido.
Viente meses: Casi no piedo moverme.

"The Web gives the developer less control over the environment than any other venue." ~Douglas Crockford
Douglas also said that it will take a generation for prototypal inheritance to displace OOP. But he clearly believes JavaScript (now at last the world's most popular programming language) is the road to the future.
It occurred to me during this talk: why am I doing anything at all in Ruby any more, when I can do it all in Node.js? Still thinking about that one.
