So, here I am, first day of Christmas break, and here I am walking along the prom in a light drizzle, trying to kill a couple of hours.
I had an eye appointment at nine, then would catch a train, hopefully at ten or so, heading to explore a new Kentish town, or one I have only passed through.
With light drizzle in the air, I didn't linger on the prom, instead made my way via Newbridge down to the town centre, hoping to sanp the town's Christmas lights, but they were switched off at this time in the morning, even though it is still dark.
Few places open for a brew, but Costa was, so I go in and order a large gingerbread latte and a mince pie.
And people watch.
Regulars come and go, parking outside, grabbing paper cups full of java before leaving again, to go about their daily tasks.
I checked work mails and the morning passed slowly.
Nine Stone Close is the tallest Bronze Age stone circle in Derbyshire.

Tried out the Canon G7 point and shoot camera at the NIN Concert Nov 14, at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton Ontario. Really surprised with the cameras results, apart from the high noise at 800ISO, the manual focus set at infinity, and full control of shutter and f-stop made up for it.
Awesome show, even if you’re not too big in NIN, this is a light show not to be missed, just blew me away.
I paid 20.00 for twelfth row stage left. I purchased 4 tickets and went with friends.
Whoo wee. They played a solid 2 hours. Nicholas Megalis opened. He was awesome! So glad I got to FINALLY see him in concert. At The Q no less. I still need to catch that kid in a tighter venue. It was awesome that they let us take P&S cameras into the show. Unfortunately for you, this was the first time I used this camera in such a setting. Walls with removed fences are common place in the UK, I don't know what the fences looked like originally but I like to think they weren't as boring as the ones some have been replaced with.
Ainslie Creek Bridge. This replaced a section of the Cariboo Road known as "9 Mile Canyon." Both sides of this road can be accessed as "Ainslie Creek Road (South and North") The South side I HIGHLY recommend that you do not drive on. There is no real place to turn around, especially at the end where the forest service road is built on top of it. This is also where you find the Cariboo Road with a signed gate.
