My central London garden in Stoke Newington, looks to have a pair of foxes claiming ownership of the garden. The pair come together, with the vixen eating first, then the dog fox finishing the food and marking the bowl. Marking is a very quick process. There are 2 other foxes around, but they check the bowls later. One is a small dark fox, and one has marking in their hips. They are wary of the marked territory and seem to be on their own. There is an unhealthy fox around, who only occasionally pops through, so to be safe that the regulars don't catch mange I am treating the food again.
I had an odd sock, and its partner had not appeared for a long time. I rolled it up and left it near the fox food. One fox was interested.....

With the snow hanging about still, one larger bowl of fox food seems more practical. It won't freeze in the middle. It is left overs from Crumb and food he won't usually eat, until it is left for someone else to eat. A black cat also had a go at eating bread, butter and jam. I would think this is a first for that cat!

Night Vision Camera for android. I was testing the camera to see if it would detect ghosts in the cemetery. This is lit with the car's headlights.
Possible conclusions from this test:
There are ghosts in the frame but I do not recognize them.
The ghosts were scared away by the presence of my car.
The ghosts were to the left or right of the camera.
There are no ghosts in the cemetery.
The camera cannot detect ghosts.

Set up a remote trigger camera in local woods at a badger sett and was delighted with the results. The camera captured, fox, blackbirds and a local cat! as well as a whole nights activity at the sett. Just fantastic. I have left on the camera data to show time and temperature.

27 februari 2017, Hoenderloo. Twee edelherten in de voortuin, ik denk een hinde met kalf. Twee camera's opgehangen die met infraroodlicht (het is dus echt aardedonker - je kunt de infraroodflits niet zien) reageren op beweging. De tweede camera links achter in beeld zorgt toevallig voor mooi tegenlicht op het tweede hert :-)

The bowls, when moved, sometimes invert and the food is eaten from the ground. Subsequent foxes all check out the ground even when there is only the small left.
These pics were taken with my step-dad's night vision camera... well, it detects motion and takes pictures at night... I'm not sure what kind of camera it is.
In one of the shots you can see the baby deer looking at a raccoon. Very interesting, I think.
