This image is of a typical Newfoundland seascape.

There were so many of these guys flying around Gros Morne National Park it was unbelievable. I tried to capture a photo of them swarming in the air but it is difficult to do. See below for my attempt - there were hundreds of them hovering in the evergreens.

Found this little cove around Twillingate. Everything I thought Newfoundland would be, even though I learned it was so much more.

This wouldn't last long in Ontario with the heat we have been having.

I was just taking a picture of this bird island seeing what I could see when a whale jumped just as I clicked the shutter. I had no idea they were there. It was amazing and if you look you can see there were two whales. What an evening in Newfoundland.

We were in search of icebergs around Twillingate when we spotted a couple taking photos of this gorgeous Newfoundland dog. I had to ask if I could snap a few shots. It was nice to have an iceberg in the background as well.

Lors de notre voyage à Terre-Neuve, nous sommes passés à Trout River. Nous avons eu un acceuil chaleureux et sur la rue principale, j'ai eu un coup de coeur en voyant ces bas et mitaines tricotés avec des couleurs vives qui sont un peu la signature de Terre-Neuve. Je n'ai pu résister à les prendre en photo!

During our trip to Newfoundland, we stopped in Trout River. We received a warm welcome, and on the main street, I was immediately drawn to the brightly colored knitted socks and mittens that are a bit of a Newfoundland signature. I couldn't resist taking a picture!

While out for a drive in Newfoundland we came across Moreton's Harbour. Moreton's Harbour has a recorded

population of 111. And is in the song lyrics of the song "Ise-The-BY."
