Couldn't believe the calm nature of the deer here. They are often fed on the Glen Etive road, but this one was so happy to just stand and pose for me. Processed with VSCO Portra 160.

The correct settings for this shot would be with iso 100 but I didn't have time to change it in that moment so I had to reduce the higlights in photoshop :)

Ik wens al mijn flickr vrienden van harte een geweldig nieuwjaar, met veel mooie foto's en vooral vrede. Die mooie foto's dat gaat wel lukken, die vrede is lastiger, ik heb niet het gevoel dat wij er veel over te zeggen hebben.

I wish all my flick friends a very happy newyear, with lots of beautiful photo's and above all peace. We will manage lots of beautifull photos, but I am not so sure about the peace, somehow I feel peace is not in our hands.

My special thoughts to those experiencing major troubles or sorrows. I'm in a lot of pain at the moment so am taking things fairly slowly. Preparing this photo was rather an effort!

New Year's Day - surroundings Mannheim, Germany

I woke up early for the first sunrise of the year and went do to the shore of Lake Erie. It's something I've been doing for a few years now. Not much of a sunrise as it was very cloudy, windy, and a bit of snow. So I turned my attention to the driftwood washed up on the shore.
