صوت النرويج / الاثنين 09 حزيران - يوني 2025 اوسلو/ في خطوة استباقية لإنقاذ مفاوضات اتفاقية دولية ملزمة بشأن التلوث البلاستيكي، تحتضن النرويج اليوم اجتماعًا طارئًا يضم وزراء من نحو 15 دولة، بالتعاون مع ألمانيا والمملكة المتحدة، وذلك بالتزامن مع انعقاد مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للمحيطات في مدينة نيس.

اتفاق معطّل ومساعٍ حثيثة

وكانت جمعية الأمم المتحدة للبيئة قد أقرت في عام 2022 الشروع في إعداد اتفاقية دولية ملزمة قانونًا تهدف إلى وقف التلوث البلاستيكي، غير أن مسار المفاوضات تعثر، رغم الآمال التي كانت معلقة على توقيع الاتفاق في خريف العام الماضي.

ويهدف هذا الاجتماع التشاوري إلى إعادة المفاوضات إلى مسارها الصحيح قبل الجولة الرسمية المقبلة المزمع عقدها في جنيف خلال شهر آب/أغسطس.

مخاطر متصاعدة

قال وزير المناخ والبيئة Andreas Bjelland Eriksen إن “التلوث البلاستيكي يدمر الطبيعة وقد يشكّل خطرًا على صحتنا. لذلك فإن من المُلحّ التوصل إلى اتفاقية دولية فعالة”.

وأكد أن النرويج تتحمل مسؤوليتها الكاملة في هذا الملف، وتسعى مع شركائها لوضع حلول فعلية قبل فوات الأوان.

وأشار Eriksen إلى أن التلوث البلاستيكي يعدّ من أسرع المشكلات البيئية نموًا في العالم، محذرًا من أن استهلاك البلاستيك في حال استمر دون إجراءات صارمة، سيؤدي إلى تضاعف التلوث تقريبًا خلال العقدين القادمين.

خلافات تهدد التوافق

لا تزال الخلافات قائمة بين الدول حول طبيعة الاتفاق، إذ تتمسك بعض الأطراف بإجراءات طوعية، في حين تدعو دول أخرى – من بينها النرويج – إلى تدابير ملزمة قانونيًا تحد من استهلاك البلاستيك وتحسّن إدارة النفايات.
