CN W900 with ONT 560 emerges into a bucolic scene on the CN Newmarket sub North of Huntsville being powered by ONR 1806-1801 as CN pleaded for assistance to free the Newmarket sub from winters clench as 4 days of heavy snow and strong winds combined with no train traffic what so ever completely snowed in the line between Washago and North Bay. I found myself up here thanks to CN running a W908 Jordan spreader along the line to tidy up the ROW and much to my surprise I heard ONR 1806 S getting a clearance onto the Newmarket departing North Bay. What a fantastic way to end 2022 and ring in the new year.
CSX M427 is seen rolling west through Newmarket, NH with Pan Am C40-8s 7518 and 7542 as power and CSX MP15AC 1136 DIT.
The structure was designed in the Italianate style. The building was inaugurated on Dominion Day, July 1, 1883, as town hall for Newmarket, Ontario
had a look at devils dyke in newmarket 100s of marbled whites but a bit early for the other chalkland butterflies

(124/365) This Robin & his mate have built a nest low down in dense undergrowth next to our vegetable patch & are now busy feeding babies. He was a bit put out that I was photographing insects on the Apple flowers & not feeding him titbits!
We've watched him grow from a speckled fledgling last Summer into this beautiful adult. He follows us around the garden & trusts us enough to eat out of our hand occasionally. He started singing his little heart out just after I took this photo, lovely. For 115 pictures in 2015 #100 Perched

On account of its leading position in the multimillion-pound horse racing and breeding industry, it is also a major export centre.

The New Market battle raged all around the farm in the Civil War, while the family cowered in the basement. As in many such battles, the farmhouse was turned into a field hospital.
