I seem to be having a colourful week. This wasn't even his bike. He saw it parked and just decided to have a pretend ride. You have to admire mischief and joi de vivre at 82. The colourful background - well it was better than the original and I fancied a bit of fun myself.

A candid portrait taken at the Brewery Tap pub in Brentford, West London, where my dad was playing and singing in his regular Tuesday night gig with his jazz band. This lady was enjoying listening to the music and clearly having a good evening. Canon EOS 5D MkI & EF 85mm f/1.2L MkII

Keep your tutu handy because you are never too old to dance!

(Tutu I made and gave Mom for Mother's Day!)

Relax, lean back, take a deep breath and find your inner voice ❤️

People of all ages love a model train, especially around Christmas in a shop window in Seattle.

This face of the pumpkin is the other side of the shy demure pumpkin in the previous photo.

I was a generic, garden-vareity elf...but I got lots of other guesses which I listed in the tags.

In addition this costume is my response to all the sexy costumes out there.

I photographed an event this weekend, a fundraiser for older kin raising grandkids or other relatives since for whatever reason the parents cannot. The event was a themed fashion show. The final set was a wedding. No, this lovely woman wasn't really a bride, but at 101 she is still a beauty!

Take Aim: Enjoy Life challenge

We could rule the world !

Once again, I left my picture of the day for the 365 Group to the end of the day, because I assumed the late light would work better to get a silhouette (and also because I was lacking inspiration...) I put the tiny Lego people on the kitchen table facing out to the garden and fiddled with the exposure and f-stop until I got the right amount of light. I like the rims of light around the top edges.

Remember when we were kids and told the time by blowing a Jinny Joe or Clock?

On the West Coast Trail, the trail and any of the associated board walks were as varied as the biogeoclimatic zones and vegetation types that we encountered.

Boardwalks were sometimes new and sometimes a pile of lumber on the side of a mud hole. Many, like this one, were sloped and a little treacherous and we learned "the mud is your friend" (better than slipping off a wet board and twisting an ankle).

The West Coast Trail. You are never sure what you will find around the next corner. Walking close to cliff edges here.

(out of camera colours)

The West Coast Trail a different challenge at every turn.

I will never, ever outgrow crayons!

Spy photo, proving "NEVER TOO OLD"

In 2006 it was forbidden to take images,

unlike the Louvre where only flash was forbidden.

Portrait on London streets, a street worker looks back to me with understanding. This looks of human understanding remain so important for me.

I asked him, almost as I arrived in London, they were having a pause, "may I take a photo of you?" and he answered "Why? I am old" then I pointed to myself and said "And me? I am not still interesting, because of my age? I am older then you."

That is the look, telling me, "yes, take a photo"!

We were not so different after all and he felt also interesting.

I do remember, looking at these photos again, when Judy Carter told us "SEE the others" around you, tell them you see them.

Photo taken less then a month after my arrival in UK.

During my first photo stroll in London centre.

You can never be too old to play with Lego!!! :D

You're never too old to become younger.
