Network Rail worker working on the points on approach to the Lafarge Cement works in Northenden. This guy was taking measurement and kept moving the switch lever infront of him. I don't know what he was doing though. He left 10 minutes later.
A project working with schoolchildren from Hyperion Lyceum, Amsterdam, on understanding the internet.
For the final presentation, the kids created four games about networks: Wifi (a race for two people based on cracking passwords), Undersea Cables (another race through a network disrupted by spies and sharks), Satellites (using sign language to "bounce" a signal round a building), and CCTV Cameras (sneaking around the area avoiding both real and hand-built cameras).
The project was run by the Waag Society, as part of Eclectis.

About a year ago I needed to convince people to join Facebook, but today almost everyone is on that network and it's really fun to catch up with everybody! I love reading your travel experiences and watching your party pics! But there are still some people lacking, especially my American friends. They seem to prefer MySpace and are not willing to switch. So Brie, Yousman, Johanna and co! If you read this please join Facebook! There is still plenty of space in the above graph ;)
Nearly 100 students and alumni gathered at TWC Headquarters on April 3 for an exclusive career-focused meet-and-greet event. Facilitators shared tricks to the networking trade with attendees, who then took time to practice their new skills.

Every time you state what you want or believe, you’re the first to hear it. It’s a message to both you and others about what you think is possible. Don’t put a ceiling on yourself.” - Oprah Winfrey -

The remaining 'Networkers' provide fast morning peak time services to Kings Cross and returns in the evening, augmenting the daily '700' 'Desiro' service which now generally runs well although the service's planned 'Thameslink' potential has yet to be realised.

Oprah Winfrey Network Invitation
15 times, I have cycled 7 days, 575 miles, from San Francisco to Los Angeles in a cycling charity event called AIDSLifecycle. In route to Los Angeles, I (and 2,000 of my best friends) cycle thru Montecito - the home to Oprah Winfrey.
Each Year, the locals of Montecito gather and create their own "Paradise Pit Stop" for the approx. 2,000 AIDSLifecycle Cyclist & 400 Volunteer Crew members. There you can find: chocolate bars, strawberries, homemade ice cream, vegan treats, corn dogs, Twinkies, coco cola, massages, and then some.. ... ALL YOU CAN EAT ...GRATIS!
Years ago (as I ate my strawberries and homemade ice cream), I asked several Montecito residents: "Where is the Oprah Winfrey Network?"
