Vanmorgen uit Teheran vertrokken naar Qazvin. Vanwege No Ruz grote drukte en files. Als eerste de Jameh Moskee bezocht en daarna door het drukke centrum naar de gerestaureerde Caravanserai. Daar gelunched in de tuin, heerlijk lokaal gerecht khoresht e nesar met pistache noten, zure bessen, sinasappelschillen, rijst met saffraan en lamsvlees.
Dit keer alleen een vluchtige blik op de Al Nabi moskee en daarna door naar Rasht aan de kust van de Kaspische zee. Groen dus veel regen en wellicht sneeuw.
Westwaarts naar de provincie Qazwin en naar het noorden in de richting van Rasht in de provincie Ghilan. De stad Qazwin heeft een groots verleden en is waarschijnlijk gesticht door Koning Shapur II in de 3e eeuw. Het was ooit de hoofdstad van het Perzische rijk en het centrum van cultuur en nijverheid in de 16e eeuw onder de Safavidische koningen voordat de hoofdstad naar Isfahan werd verplaats. De 16e eeuwse Moskee van Al Nabi, een van meest glorieuze moskeeën van de oudheid. De moskee heeft een oppervlakte van 14000 meter met een dubbel gelaagde koepel. De moskee is recent gerestaureerd en sinds kort weer toegankelijk voor publiek.
