A simple landscape capture at Ferry Meadows recreational park. The view is from one of the many bridge walkways that cross the Nene River. The sky was bright but the shadows were long on the waterside so wanted to capture some darkness and atmosphere contrasting the brightness of the sky and the sunshine on the banks of the river. .

I really like the look of this little goose that is native to Hawaii. The Latin species name is sandvicensis, which means the species is from the Sandwich Islands, which was the original European name for the cluster of islands now known as Hawaii.
