Imagine, if you will, Gilbert Baker, creating the rainbow flag, putting together blue and orange, and pausing with his needlework as if the colours clash, then putting the colours in their right place. Gilbert Baker died Friday of last week at the age of 65 in New York (NYT, Obits, Matthew Haag). Colours sourced from my collection of international soccer jerseys, Lao Royal Blue and Dutch Orange. Needle and pink thread from my wife Averill's sewing basket.
2 darning/ wool needles and one cotton thread needle. Tripod mounted, overhead striplight and remote shutter, with a manual lens, 55mm F2.3 at F5.6.

Taken for Macro Mondays group, theme 'Needle and Thread'. Week 11/2020.
This is a metallic thread through a sewing needle. It's taken in natural light with a little LED highlight. It's cropped to 16x9 but otherwise is straight out of the camera.

"Happy Macro Monday everyone and stay healthy!"
Needle and threads and a little thimble are just a small amount that would be within my wife's sewing kit!
