the whole is not bigger than 3 cm. The small needles had only a small eyelet and it was very difficult to pull the thread through.

For the Macro Mondays group, on the subject of Needle and Thread. All I can say is, thank you, whoever invented the needle threader, coz If I had to do that by hand, this image wouldn't have been posted until at least NEXT Monday!

For Macro Mondays, this weeks theme is Crystal. Here is a cairn made out of some salt crystals to help me locate my needle and thread. I may never loose a needle again. HMM.

Used the new prism my daughter got me for Christmas to create the rainbow effect.

Oh my word, threading a needle is so hard now. No big deal when you are twenty-something. Now, it's a pretty big (or should I say small) deal.

My old pin cushion. Even the needle looks kinda rusty in close-up I notice. Not the first time I've photographed it but it's always fun to try again when experimenting with a different camera.

Needle is 39mm (1.6") long. The visible part is approximately 9mm long. Based on a chart found online, this needle is ,86mm (.035") in diameter. In other words, it's tiny.
