DISTRACTION IS NOT ALLOWED ....
Today's theme of the "Macro Mondays" group is "Needle and Thread" and my first concern was not the theme itself .... after all the two objects are of a disarming banality but how to make the original and captivating image.
After a few attempts I tried to sew an orange wedge to see how it could make the color effect. Looking at the result, I said to myself, not without a sardonic smile "If the surgeons also sewed in an open heart operation, we would stay fresh !!!"
Here is the lightning strike, everything seemed convincing and plausible, I also found a valid reason to propose a non-stop idea !!!!
What do you think ????

My heart goes out to all those around the World affected by Covid19.
A threaded needle, made into a heart shape, lying in the sun. That's all...
Macro Mondays Needle and Thread.
the whole is not bigger than 3 cm. The small needles had only a small eyelet and it was very difficult to pull the thread through.
For the Macro Mondays group, on the subject of Needle and Thread. All I can say is, thank you, whoever invented the needle threader, coz If I had to do that by hand, this image wouldn't have been posted until at least NEXT Monday!
Please see my showcase photostream and showcase for some different types of work. Thanks and stay healthy.

Macro Mondays: "Needle and Thread"
Oh my word, threading a needle is so hard now. No big deal when you are twenty-something. Now, it's a pretty big (or should I say small) deal.
Image is about 4.5 cm (1.75 inches) square.
For Macro Mondays theme 'Sewing Notions'. Used coloured pins in some black sponge for the background bokeh

My old pin cushion. Even the needle looks kinda rusty in close-up I notice. Not the first time I've photographed it but it's always fun to try again when experimenting with a different camera.
HMM
...being thankful and grateful today. (And this was snapped right before the world seemed to universally shut down for Covid.)
