Mount Nebo as seen from the Eastern side near Fairview, Sanpete county, Utah. Mount Nebo reaches an elevation of 11,933 feet (3,637 m).
This is the famous Nebo Loop one of the most scenic roads in Utah and beyond. During the fall and weekends the roadway is very busy, so I went on a weekday and pretty much had the place to myself.

Created by Italian artist Giovanni Fantoni, it imaginatively merges the life-saving bronze serpent set up by Moses into the desert (Numbers 21:4-9) and the cross upon which Jesus was crucified.

We saw lots of wildflowers on our hike here. These were by the pond in the previous post, and are such a striking purple color.
They are another new one to me and have no idea what they are.

V srpnovém horkém odpoledni se vyhřívá trojice vršovických čtyřek na paprscích v depu. Za pár dní je opět čeká víkendová práce v čele cyklovlaků nebo posázavských rekreáků.
Here's a shot of some of the fall color around Utah's Mt Nebo. The skies were very stormy and it was snowing in various places. I liked this shot since you can see the different layers - the aspens, the snowy pine trees, and the menacing clouds.
